Welcome to My Job Odyssey. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Beta Service
My Job Odyssey is currently in beta (pre-release) evaluation. The Service is provided for testing and evaluation purposes. Features may change, be modified, or be discontinued at any time without prior notice. There is no guarantee of uptime, availability, or continuity of service during the beta period.
2. Data & Beta Risks
During the beta period, data loss may occur. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we do not guarantee that your data will be preserved, backed up, or recoverable. You are solely responsible for maintaining copies of any important information you provide to the Service. By using the beta Service, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. AI-Generated Content
My Job Odyssey uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to generate content including but not limited to career advice, resume suggestions, LinkedIn posts, and coaching responses. All AI-generated content is provided as suggestions only and does not constitute professional career advice, legal advice, or any other form of professional consultation. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated output.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes related to career development. You may not use the Service to generate misleading, fraudulent, or defamatory content. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the Service or its underlying AI systems. You retain ownership of the content you provide to the Service.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL My Job Odyssey, ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. FOR FREE-TIER USERS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ZERO DOLLARS ($0). FOR PAID USERS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless My Job Odyssey and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your use of AI-generated content; or (d) any content you provide to the Service.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account through the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days of account deletion, unless legally required to retain it.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Quebec, Canada.
